So I haven't posted anything new in a while...I swear I will later guys!

Japanese + art has kept me reaaaaally busy.

Hey friends! School has been interesting so far. With books, art supplies, and computer stuff I've spent more this semester than I have before. My art portfolio is heavy and I have to carry it all over campus. The handles are digging into my hands >>

I'm in the same hall as last year, but now I have a bigger room! It's soo nice x3 I have my own closet and I can walk into it!

My art classes seems exciting, but I already have a ton of stuff to do for them. Japanese is fun but I know it's gonna take a lot of work and a lot of studying. Environmental biology and my art history both seem boring. My roommate is nice but kinda strange...I don't think she's gone to class for a few days. It's 4 pm and she still has her pjs on.

I really hope is starts to cool down soon. I want to start wearing jeans and tights! I feel much more comfortable with my legs covered. And I would like it to rain so I can wear my new rainboots. So everyone start doing rain dances.

Even though this seems like it will be a good year, I still don't feel quite right. My classes this semester are better than the ones last semester, but I still find myself wishing to be back there. Maybe I will feel better as the year goes on.

Last day...

Well, today was my last day at home for the summer ): I don't mind going back to school, but I know it will take me a week or two to adjust. I had Coop's ice for the last time this summer. It was so good! I'll miss that.


Now that summer's over, I can look back at what I've done. First, I can say that I wish I'd had more time with my lovely friends. It seemed like we always had conflicting schedules. I worked so often I barely got to see them D: I WILL MISS YOU GUYS! It's hard to go to school and be away from the people that mean the most to me.


Anyway, I'm all packed (pretty much) and ready to leave. But it really doesn't feel like I'm heading back already. I'm excited to be starting new classes, but not so excited about homework. I think my classes will keep me busy, so hopefully I'll be able to handle them. One look at the Japanese 101 book and I'm already a bit afraid xP Wish me luck!

Thrifting

So, I don't think I'll ever pay retail for shoes again. My dad took my sister and me out today since he had the day off. We ate at the Root Beer Stand and went to an Antique Mall. On the way back we saw a thrift store and decided to check it out. I didn't have very high expectations, but boy was I wrong. I found two pairs of shoes and two tops. The most expensive item was $5.99. Later, we found out that the pair of short boots I bought are by some fancy, expensive Italian company, Cole Haan. We looked on the website and the least expensive shoes were like $150, and they were flats. So they were a great, fluke find. Kelsey got like four pairs of cute shoes. It really was unbelievable; I mean, some of her shoes cost $1.99. How can you not by cute $2 shoes? Sure there was a hellova lot of ugly stuff there too and peoples' obnoxious kids were running wild, but all in all, it was a good trip. Even my dad found some sweaters. And to top if all off we got Hershey's ice cream.


I'm gonna have to start going to thrift stores more often. Here are the shoes; the dolls are an added bonus x3

Lately it seems that trying to sleep has become somewhat of a chore.

So I guess I'll spend way too much time trying to make a nice looking blog instead.
